The Reds beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second game of a three game series 3-1 on Tuesday night, as the Reds also won on Monday night and have beaten the Dodgers in every game they have played them in this season.
The game started out with a solo home run in the second inning from first baseman Brandon Dixon as the Reds went up early, followed by another Reds solo homer in the third, this time by right fielder Scott Schebler. The fifth saw the Reds add onto their lead as second baseman Scooter Gennett hit an RBI single and while the Dodgers were able to get a run back in the sixth on a solo home run from left fielder Joc Pederson, it would not be enough as the Reds won it 3-1.
Reds starting pitcher Luis Castillo went six and a third innings in the win, giving up just one earned run on four hits and a walk, while Dodgers starter Hyun-Jin Ryu gave up three earned runs on eight hits and one walk in the loss. Reds closer Raisel Iglesias picked up the save.
The teams will finish off the series on Wednesday afternoon.
